SATIRE. Fiction. The sighting, town and experts below are invented.

Residents gathered on the steps of a local town hall this weekend after a rare daytime sighting drew a small crowd, several phone cameras, and one man with actual binoculars.

Experts cautioned that Flock sightings are rarely solitary. Where one is visible, several are usually nearby, mounted slightly higher and facing the other way. Nesting season, they added, is all of them.

The crowd dispersed after twenty minutes. The specimen remained. It had, by then, seen everyone's plates.
